SPRING SEASON

SPRING TRAINING
Before the regatta season begins, the crew team holds rigorous spring training during spring break. Rowers are encouraged to participate in practices the first week of Spring Break, and travel to Tampa to train the second week, March 25th through April 1st, 2023. This is not a mandatory trip but highly encouraged. If you are a freshman or novice and are selected for the team, it will be a quick turnaround for completion of travel logistics. You will receive this information about the spring break trip immediately after teams are announced.
The team travels to to Tampa, FL to row on Six Mile Creek using the Plant High School Boathouse. Team members stay in a nearby hotel with coaches and the spring training coordinators and row 2-3 times per day. All meals are provided at the hotel. Rowers also have time to relax in their hotel rooms, swim in the hotel pool, and hang out with teammates.
